$6000000 to pay off depositors in about 40 small national banks now in the hands of receivers Jesse Jones corporation chair man told newspapermen ulans were nearly complete lend that amount on the assets of the banks upon application by the banks The assets then are to be turn ed over to committees for sale' at the best possible fig ure Any amount over the RC loans may be used for additional payments to depositors Jones and O'Connor comptroller of the currency con ferred today on the plan Jones said wanted to clear up the receivership in the closed banks as soon as possible Removal of the receiverships the RC chief pointed out would re duce the cost of handling the closed banks and add to the eventual payoff At the same time Jones issued the September re port showing that the RC had Death of Mother Expected to Live OAKLAND Cal Oct (AP) A baby born ten minutes after the death of her mother Mrs Ellen Lewis 35 gave promise to day of living a normal life span Had Mrs Lewis lived the baby would have been born in about three weeks The woman was stricken with a severe headache last Sunday and Dr Robert Mclvor ordered her at once to a hospital where she died of a brain hemorrhage The doctor performed a post mortem Caesarian operation Six minutes later he held an appar ently dead 7 pound 13 ounce baby girl After 20 minutes of artificial respiration she began breathing normally Dr Ralph Hoffman head of obstetrical department of the University of California hospital praised Dr Mclvor for his skill He said instances of successful delivery after the death were rare largely because taken Wed nesday night at meetings of corn hog producers in Shelby' Jackson and Perry townships showed that 75 per cent of the farmers at tending the meetings favor an AAA production control 'i program for 1935 At the Shelby township meet ing 37 voted in favor of a con trol program and nine voted against the plan At the Jack son meeting 34 voted in favor and 18 against and at the Perry meeting 34 supported the plan and 16 were against it VOTE IS SIMILAR The vote at the three meetings was similar to that polled at meetings' held Monday and Tues day nights Sixty per cent ot non Wainscott 32 of died of a cerebral embolism ri day morning at 4:45 at uie Home hospital to which iristltu tion he was brought Thursday evening after being stricken a few hours earlier Coroner A Bauer and a physician perform ed a post mortem at the hospital to determine the cause of death Wainscott born May 31 1902 at Prairie du Chien Wis was a son of rank and Appona (Popper) Wainscott and came to Wingate about six years ago He was taken violently ill Thursday afternoon while working with his father who is a fence builder and was rush ed to the local hospital His fath er and stepmother at body had risen to the top of the water and Jleharry swam into the pit and recovered it Two physicians from Wingate and Odell assisted by the Rev Mr applied resuscitation measures without success Mrs VanHook was prostrated by the tragedy and it was necessary to administer medical aid The child was born on April 10 1933 The body was taken to the Pell home and funeral ser vices will be held from
