authority on the new method of transmitt ing messages When the great telegraph com panies decided to connect the new west with the east Mr Rebhun was selected to inspect tiie work of finished construction He made the tiip from lnnsylvania to Wy oming in a horse and buggy fol lowing the trunk telegraph lines and seeing that every connection was properly made Date Mr Rebhun took employ ment with the Pennsylvania rail ioad and for several years was agent on the division one of the important terminals Alter a half century of service with the company he was retired (a few years ago on a pension Iast spring Mr Rebhun came to West Dafayette to visit his daughter Mrs Teffer and family and remained with them until his fatal illness He was a highly respect ed citizen Surviving are his
