the Bos well area know anybody else in Benton Winchester said The sheriff said he reviewed recordings of recent telephone conversations Routh had from the jail and found no evidence that Routh got help in his escape or that he was even planning an escape department officials suspect that Routh had faked breathing problems Wednesday night to persuade jail officials to take him to the hospital Hospital staff examined Routh and found he had no medical problems Winchester said As of Thursday afternoon Winchester said jail clothing had not been found Routh is charged in Benton Circuit Court with Class fel ony intimidation in connection with his most recent arrest According to Indiana Depart ment of Correction records he has previous felony convictions for burglary and theft in Henry and mathematics He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War Mr Nast worked in California for NASA for a short time before enlisting in the Navy After his military service was over he re turned to
