Born July 21, a -a -a n i il 1 A 1 litiz, to me laie Oscar and An nie Reed Lane in Shadeland, he l?CVy was a life resi- resi- He married Mary Alice Humphrey Humphrey on March 14, 1932, and she Lane preceded him in death on June 7, 1998. Mr. Lane worked for the Sheet Metal Workers Local 89 (now Local 20) for more than 32 years, and had been a business representative representative for the union for more than 10 years. He had served in the civil service service in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. Mr. Lane enjoyed camping. Surviving are three sons, Bob Lane (wife: Shirlee) of Monticello, George Lane (wife: Barbara) of Lafayette and Joseph Lane of Florida; and two daughters, Sharon Sharon Galloway (husband: Richard) Richard) of New Palestine and Jenny Ready of Fort Myers, Fla. Visitation will be 5-8 5-8 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Hippen-steel Hippen-steel Hippen-steel Funeral Home with service service there 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Also surviving surviving are 13 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 1 stepgreat-grandchild, stepgreat-grandchild, stepgreat-grandchild, 11 great-great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren and his faithful companion, Sunny. Preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Jean Lane; a granddaughter, Connie Gal-loway-Molton; Gal-loway-Molton; Gal-loway-Molton; Gal-loway-Molton; Gal-loway-Molton; 2 brothers and a sister.
